Thomas L. (Tom) Hall, 77, of New Philadelphia, Ohio died Saturday, April 28, 2007 in Union Hospital at Dover following a brief illness.
Tom retired in 1991, as a tooling engineer for the Gradall Company in New Philadelphia where he worked for 38 years.
Born June 13, 1929 in Dover, he was the son of the late Clarence and Florence (Weaver) Hall. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, B. Joan (Beans) Hall who died October 16, 2000. They were married on August 19, 1953. In addition to his parents and wife, Tom was preceded in death by three sisters, Jacqueline Hall, Marjorie Swinderman, and June Kneuss.
Tom was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dover. He was a life member of the New Philadelphia Elks Lodge, member of the Dover VFW and enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was a US Army veteran having served in the Korean War.
Tom is survived by two sons, Rodney Hall of Dover and Bradley (Kim) Hall of Pickerington, Ohio; four grandchildren, Ryan, Sara, Aaron, and Emily; his friend and special companion, Marilyn Pongrat of New Philadelphia and two sisters, Dorothy Mann of Dover and Donna Phillips of New Philadelphia.
Pastor Larry Black will officiate graveside services on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 11am in the Dover Burial Park. A reception and video tribute will follow in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center, 831 Boulevard in Dover. At Tom�(TM)s request, there will be no calling hours.
