Thomas Lee Mast

Thomas Lee "Tom" Mast, 63, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Arbors in Sylvania following a long-term illness.

Born on November 23, 1947 in Dover, he was the son of the late Daniel Monroe and Opal (Hostetler) Mast.

Tom grew up in Strasburg and graduated from Strasburg High School. He was an avid sports fan and supported the Strasburg Tigers, Cleveland Indians and Browns his entire life.

He honorably served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He will be missed by his daughter; Michelle Renee Moskowitz of Whitehouse, Ohio, along with his grandson, Kyle Phillip Moskowitz also of Whitehouse.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Myrna Bryce.

A celebration of Tom's life will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ in Strasburg on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Lynda Masters officiating. Interment will take place at Grandview Union Cemetery in Strasburg. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the church. Friends are invited to call at the church on Thursday, from 10-11:00 am. Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory are handling the arrangements.
