Thomas T.Y. Yablonski

Thomas W. "T.Y." Yablonski, 68, of Somerdale, Ohio died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017 in his home following an 18 month battle from liver cancer related to Hep C.

Tom retired from the Timken Company in Canton after 33 years of service.

Born Aug. 14, 1948 in Canton, Ohio, he was the son of Patricia (Clark) Yablonski of Massillon and the late Stephen Yablonski. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father in law, Jim Maher.

After graduating from Perry High School in 1966, Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid golfer, softball player, and bowler.

In addition to his mother, Tom will be sadly missed by his family that includes his wife of nearly 33 years, Mona (Maher) Yablonski who he married on April 1; three sons, Mark (Michelle) Yablonski of Circleville, Ohio, Ryan Kramer and fianc Kim Ebling of Marysville, Ohio and Corey (Stacie) Kramer of Dover; six grandchildren, Jacob, Valin, Cameron, Carly, Uriah, and Genevieve; a brother, Steven (Donna) Yablonski of Massillon; mother in law, Bonnie Maher of Somerdale and his canine companion, Mossy.

At Tom's request, cremation will take place and there will be no services. In his honor, Tom wants everyone to please raise a glass, make a toast, and reminisce about the good times.
