Timothy R. Meek

Timothy R. Meek, 73, of Dover passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 in the Mercy Medical Center.

Born January 3, 1948 in Newcomerstown he was a son of the late Kenneth and Dorothy Jones Meek. Tim was also preceded in death by his nine siblings and grandson, Caleb Mann.

Tim retired from the former Whitacre and Greer Brick Co. in Midvale after 20 years of service. Following his retirement, he started Tim’s Home Repair business. He was a very musical person who loved playing the guitar at church and for his family and friends; he was also a talented woodworker and car mechanic. Tim was a member of Believers Assembly Church in Beach City.

A wonderful and loving husband, dad and grandfather, Tim will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Betty Mahaffey Meek whom he married on November 2, 1968; children, Angela (Lloyd) Refford of Florida, Teresa (companion, Tony Chaudrue) Kitzmiller of Dover; siblings, Rose Ann Kloha, Melalou (Russell) Murphy, Pam (Melvin) Reardon all of Dover, Robbie Meek of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Deanna (Seth) Winkel, Christopher (Kimberly) Smith, Ashley (Shaun) Farrier, Brittany (companion, Warren) Meek, Katelin Hawkins; great grandchildren, Janielly, Bryson, Rylin, Abigail, Kianna, Chrisander, Aubrey and Noah.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A service celebrating Tim’s life will be held on Friday, November 12th starting at 11:00 am in the Believers Assembly Church at 131 N Church Ave, Beach City, OH 44608 with Pastor Anthony McKinney officiating. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.
