Vernon E. Reynolds, 58, of Strasburg passed away at his home on Thursday, February 1, 2024. He was born on January 7, 1966, in Dover and was a son of Mary Smart Reynolds of New Philadelphia and the late Vernon Reynolds.
Vernon had a deep passion for trucks that spanned his entire adult life, and he dedicated himself to his career as the owner and operator of Reynolds Trucking in Strasburg for the past 18 years. From behind the wheel to repairing semis, Vernon's expertise knew no bounds, and his commitment to his profession was unmatched in the transportation industry. He had an expertise with all things mechanical and would often spend hours exploring their inner workings. His knowledge was not only limited to trucks but extended to various vehicles, in short, he could fix anything with wheels. Vernon also loved being outdoors, especially camping and fishing.
In addition to his mother, Vernon is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathy Keaton Reynolds whom he married on February 8, 1988; children, Matthew (Renee) Reynolds of Dundee, Dustin (Tori) Reynolds of Strasburg, and Tabitha (Frank) Alleshouse of Bolivar; brothers, Eugene Reynolds of Uhrichsville, Robert (Rhonda) Reynolds of Newport, and Jesse Reynolds of New Philadelphia; grandchildren: Lucille, Carsyn, Ryan, Ashton, Aubrey, Oliver, Violet, and Arthur.
Private family services will be held with interment in the Grandview Union Cemetery, Strasburg. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Strasburg is handling arrangements.
