Vernon W. Mutti, 82, of Stone Creek passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 in the Community Hospice Truman House.
Born January 19, 1939 in York Township he was a son of the late Emmet and E. Lucille Ladrach Mutti. Vernon was also preceded in death by his sister and brother in law, Pauline and Bill Staneart.

Vernon was a 1956 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. Following his graduation, he went to work at Belden Brick in Sugarcreek where he was employed for the next 12 years. In 1968 he partnered with his father and started Mutti Dairy, which continues to this day under the direction of his two sons. Vernon was a dedicated life member of Jerusalem Church, and served as a Fire Chief for York Township. He also was President of the Board of Landmark Co-Op for many years, as well as being a Director of Frontier Power Co-Op.

Vernon is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rachel Lebold Mutti whom he married on September 22, 1962; sons, Kevin (Sheila) Mutti, Keith (Lori) Mutti both of Stone Creek; siblings, Calvin (Karen) Mutti of MA, Edna (Fred) Pfeiffer of Stone Creek; Arline (Dick) Sarley of PA; grandchildren, Christine, Clarissa (CJ), Clark, Leah, Noel, Noah, Kylee and one great grandson, Dean.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 24th starting at 11:00 am in the Jerusalem Church with Pastor Tom Hendershot officiating. Due to Covid 19 masks and social distancing will be required.
