Veronica "Ronnie" Lane Smith

Veronica "Ronnie" Lane Smith, 79, of Dennison, was born on May 1, 1945, in Long Island, New York. She passed away at her home on November 23, 2024.

She lived in Florida, where she met her husband, David Smith, whom she married in 1987. She and David later moved to Dennison, Ohio in 1989. In addition to David, she will be sadly missed by her son, Bill (Jessie) Lane of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and her granddaughter, Eliza. 

Ronnie will be remembered for her deep love of animals and a profound appreciation for nature. She dedicated her time to raising registered pygmy goats, cultivating a special bond with every creature that crossed her path. She held a particularly tender place in her heart for cats and enjoyed the simple pleasures of observing the wildlife around her, including the graceful deer and vibrant birds that frequented her home.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover.
