Victoria E. Blake, 56, of New Philadelphia died Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Doctor�(TM)s Hospital in Massillon following a brief illness.
She was employed as a Nurses Aide at New Dawn Retirement Center in Dover for 25 years.
Born November 14, 1948 in Cumberland, North Carolina she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lovie Flynn Deal.
She was a social member of the Dover Army-Navy Club and the Dover Eagles Auxiliary. Victoria was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was blessed with a wonderful family and many friends. In addition to her family and friends, she also loved taking care of her pets.
Victoria is survived by her husband, Jim Blake, Sr. with whom she celebrated 32 years of marriage on July 16, 2004.
She is also survived by a daughter, Trudy (Chad) Schwartz of Strasburg; three step-sons, Jim Blake, Jr. of Indiana, Brian Blake of Port Washington and Adam Blake of Cleveland; brother, Roger (Bridgett) Deal of Ona West Virginia; two grandchildren, Brandon and Carrie Schwartz; five step-grandchildren, James II, Zachery, Justin, Brianna Blake and Donovan Smith.
A celebration of Victoria�(TM)s life will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Union Cemetery in Strasburg. Following the burial a reception will held at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 pm.
