Vincent "Flash" Rondinella

Vincent "Flash" Rondinella, 82, of Dover died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Park Village Health Care Center.

Vince had retired from US Ceramic Tile in East Sparta after 33 years of service and had also worked at Pruni's Men's Shop in Dover.

Born July 26, 1928 in Dover he was a son of the late Basilio and Benigna Pace Rondinella. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Pammy (Antonette) Cercone, Lou Cercone, Ross "Skip" Rondinella, Margaret (Frank) Conidi, Erma (Pete) Monticelli, Viola (Jacob "Jiggs") Vierheller and Clara Casimir.

Vince was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Central Catholic Booster Club, Dover VFW and the 7th St. Tigers. He was a 1947 graduate of St. Joseph High School and was an Army veteran.

Vince is survived by his wife, Evelyn Bitzel Rondinella whom he married on August 30, 1958; children, Amelia (Chet) Fox of Brimfield, Juliann (Keith) Miller of Florida and Jim (Delores) Rondinella of Canton; brothers, Theodore "Popeye" (Mary) Rondinella of Dover and Anthony "Chic" (Irene) Cercone of Dover; grandchildren, Anna and Vincent Miller, Cassie, Catie and Chris Rondinella; brother in law, Reynold Casimir and sister in law, Joann Rondinella.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 9:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. Matt Hoover officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Thursday from 5-8 pm with Christian Wake services starting at 7:45.
