Viola B. Beitner of Dover, Ohio died Sunday, March 13, 2005 in Union Hospital. She was 92.
In her younger days, Viola was employed by the Hanhart Insurance Agency. She was also instrumental in the origin of Bill Beitner Tire Company, having performed all the clerical work during the business�(TM)s emerging years.
Born March 28, 1912 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Anna Nehls Loshark.
Viola was a lifelong member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dover where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, was a member of the Evangelism Committee and was a recipient of the Founder�(TM)s Day Award. She was a former cub scout den mother and member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing bridge with her classmates for over 70 years. Spending winters in Venice, Florida and summers in northern Ontario, Canada, were special highlights of her life.
Viola was preceded in death by her husband, J. William Beitner who died October 26, 1982. She was also preceded by her son, William F. Beitner, two brothers, George and Edward Loshark, and two sisters, Bertha Brick and Ethel Hilkert.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Holliday of Hamilton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Jennifer Ellen Reid and James William Reid of the Cincinnati, Ohio area, Beth Ann Cerda of Newark, Ohio, and Brenda Lyn Parker of Lagrange, Maine. She has six great grandchildren.
Friends will be received by the family beginning at 10am on Thursday, March 17, in the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dover. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11am with interment in the Dover Burial Park.
