Viola F. Teglo "Auntie Vi", 88, of Dover, died Saturday, December 6, 2008.
Born March 11, 1920 in Stone Creek, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Harry and Florence Ferrell Miller. She graduated from Stone Creek School in 1939 and later married her husband, Joseph Teglo, who preceded her in death on September 7, 1987.
For several years she worked for the W. T Grant Company at the plaza in Dover. She retired from Bon Marche' in Edmonds, Washington after seven years of service. She lived in Washington off and on from 1950 until 1992.
Viola was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dover, where she was active with the Mary Baer Circle, the knotters, and many other volunteer activities. She loved traveling.
Two sisters; Arlene Rentsch and Edna Fishel both of Dover; and four nieces and nine nephews survive her.
Her daughter; Margie Burlison; her brother, Eugene Miller; her sister Hazel Skantz; and a nephew, Stanley Rentsch, precede her in death.
In honoring Viola's wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jim Lewis officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Toland-Herzig Monarch, 831 Boulevard, Dover, Ohio 44622. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour prior to the memorial service.
