Viola Mae Kohr

Viola Mae Kohr, 72, of Dover died on Saturday, September 8, 2012.

Born on August 18, 1940 in Newport, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Ruby Hawk Beitzel. She graduated from Strasburg High School in 1958. Viola was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, and helping her husband, Lloyd, on their family farm.

She was a member of the Dover Bible Church, the Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau, and the Strasburg AARP's.

Viola's survivors include her husband, Lloyd; two daughters, Kathy Kohr, and Karen Barkley both of Wainwright; a brother, James Beitzel of Stone Creek; and a sister, Geri (Jack) Haver of Texas.

A celebration of Viola's life will take place at the Dover Bible Church on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 11:00 am with Pastor Ed Scaglione officiating. Interment will take place at Dover Burial Park. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served in the church social hall. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.
