Violet J. Goddard

Violet J. Goddard, 81, of Dover and formerly of Cambridge died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Union Hospital.

Born August 29, 1933 in Guernsey County, Ohio she was a daughter of the late James and Sarah Kazee Abrams. Violet was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Goddard on April 30, 2006 and 12 brothers and sisters.

She retired from March Electric after 26 years of service and was a member of the First Christian Church in Cambridge and the Shasta RV Club. Violet and Robert enjoyed their time together, especially making crafts and camping.

A loving mother and grandmother, Violet will be sadly missed by her children, Judy (John) Engelhard of Dover and Alan (Cathy) Goddard of Cambridge; grandchildren, Beth (Ross) Harkins, Doug Goddard, Kay Engelhard and Joe (Katie) Goddard; great grandchildren, Ethan and Gavin Harkins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Lieutenant Scott Dupree officiating. Interment will be in the Guernsey Memory Gardens at Cambridge. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
