Virgina A. Sullie

Virginia A. Sullie, 82, of Dover, died Saturday, July 22, 2006 in Union Hospital.

She was born May 11, 1924 at Dover, the daughter of the late John J. & Teresa Leahy Herron.

For many years, Virginia worked as a secretary for A.J. Weigand Trucking.

A 1942 graduate of Dover High School, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover. Virginia was very active with the church�(TM)s seniors group and, with her love of travel, especially looked forward to the bus trips and get-togethers. She had a green thumb and over the years was an active member of the Garden Club. She had also been a member of the Tuscarawas Senior Center.

The common bond in almost everything she did was her love for people. She had a caring heart that knew no end and went out of her way to help others. She was always the first to send a note or card and seemingly made friends no matter where she was. You needn�(TM)t look any further than her 50-year affiliation with her monthly card club to see just how important these friendships were.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Carl E. Sullie.

Other survivors include: a brother, John “Jack” (Doris) Herron of Brook Park; nephews, Michael and Jimmy; and several cousins.

Fr. John Metzger will officiate a funeral ceremony that celebrates Virginia�(TM)s life on Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover. Burial will be in Dover�(TM)s Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30am until time of services at 10:30am.
