Virginia Ann (Ginny) Buck, 77 of Dover transitioned to her new Heavenly home on Friday, December 4, 2020. Born on April 18, 1943, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Gerald W. and Maxine (Schultz) Smith.
On August 28, 1987, she married Gerald R. (Jerry) Buck, who survives.
She was notoriously stubborn, yet loving with her whole heart. Ginny loved spending time with family, and giving long hugs. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds, and was talented at crocheting. She loved dogs, especially German Shepherds. She was a quiet woman, often lost in thought while observing nature or working on crafts. She could easily spend hours each day just watching the squirrels and birds play in the yard.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, by two sons; Lester and Eric Follis, and her brothers; Richard and Edward Smith.
She is survived by her children; Anne (Ken) Blue, Travis Follis, Clara (Gordy) Bullock, Kirk Follis, Tani (Al) Cornelius, Raven (Dave) Huprich, and Stephen (Lynn) Buck; along with 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In honoring her wishes, cremation has been entrusted with Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover. A private interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery will follow at a later date. To sign an online guestbook for Ginny, visit the obituary link on the funeral home’s website.
