Virginia Dawson, 83, of New Philadelphia went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2002 at the Country Club Retirement Center following an extended illness.
She retired from Dover Molded Products after 20 years of service.
Born December 10, 1918 in Bloomington, Indiana she was a daughter of the late Edward and Melvina Henry Farrell.
She was a member of the New Philadelphia Eagles, Moose and VFW. She enjoyed taking care of her family and was a loving mother and grandmother.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Norval E. Dawson who died on March 31, 1970.
She is survived by two daughters: Lois (Lee) Powell of Strasburg
Treva (Terry) Wagner of New Philadelphia
Three grandchildren: Ron (Kim) Hines of Strasburg
Tim (Kim) Hines of Strasburg
Shannon Potts of New Philadelphia
Three great grandchildren: Lauren Hines
Chelsea and Cameron Potts
Niece: Dorothy K. (Ted) Matlock of Bloomington, Indiana
She was also preceded in death by a sister: Dorothy M. Danler
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at 2:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Pastor Jason Snyder officiating. Interment will be at Wesley Community Chapel Cemetery near Newcomerstown. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
