Virginia "Ginny" Fox

Virginia "Ginny" Fox, 77, of Dover passed away suddenly on Monday, January 14, 2013 at her home.

Born on July 25, 1935 in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Joseph "C.J." Gintz and Mary Kathryn Wagner Gintz White. Ginny was a 1953 Graduate of St. Joseph High School in Dover, Ohio. She was the former office manager at Berea Oil and Gas. She retired in 2002 as Deputy Registrar of the Dover License Bureau. She served many years as Chairman of The Dover City Democratic Party and as a member of the Central and Executive Committees of the Tuscarawas County Democratic Party.

Ginny was an avid fan of both The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, flowers and gardening and playing bridge with her friends. Above all, she loved her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She will be sadly missed by her children: James C. "Jacy" (Mary) Fox II, of Lexington, TX, Sarah "Sally" (Henry) Young of Athens, John Fox of Dover, Mary Kathryn "Kathy" Hills, of Columbus; grandchildren: Bryan (Elizabeth) Young of Groton, CT, Kyle Young of Athens, Lillian "Lilli" Hills of Columbus, James T. "J.T." Fox of Lexington, TX, Claire F. Hills of Columbus, along with nieces, nephews and very special friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father Prescott "P.M." White and her brother, Thomas A. Gintz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Matt Hoover officiating. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery in Dover. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. There will be no public visitation. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover is handling the arrangements.
