Vivian June McCarty, 63, of Dundee, went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 24, 2003.
She been employed for over 15 years with the National Farmers Organization and had most recently worked as a nurse�(TM)s aide.
Born May 31, 1939 at Cambridge, she was daughter of the late Frank and Luella Shearrow Ankrum.
Vivian was a 1957 graduate of New Concord High School. She was a longtime member of the United Free Will Baptist Church at Massillon where she had served for many years as the church�(TM)s clerk.
She loved working outdoors with her flowers, farming and taking care of her animals. She had a special fondness for her horses which she enjoyed riding and watching.
Vivian is survived by her husband Glen E. McCarty, whom she wed on September 29, 1957.
Other survivors include: a son; Jeff McCarty and companion Connie Reza of Dundee, daughter; Deb (Ed) Estep of Dundee, five grandchildren; Brittany, Kara, Tiffany, Logan, Mozart, two brothers; Earl Ankrum and Kenny (Vicki) Ankrum of Cambridge.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 27, at 11 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Pastor David S. Adkins officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Following the committal, a reception will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, January 26, 2003, 2-5 pm.
