Von L. Ayers

Von L. Ayers, 73, of Dover died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Union Hospital.

Born May 8, 1937 in Sugarcreek Township he was a son of the late Rollar and Gladys Bobo Ayers. Von was also preceded in death by seven siblings, Margaret Weaver, Emmett, Willard, Ray, Max, Jimmy and Keith Ayers.

Von was a loving and kind person who enjoyed traveling, animals and playing games with his family.

He is survived by his sister, Janet Landis of Dover and brother, Zane Ayers of Bolivar; sisters in law, Norma Ayers of Strasburg and Betty Ayers of Massillon; many nieces and nephews and his favorite cat, Lucky.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Union Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion shown to Von.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Ed Scaglione and Chaplain David Rodweller officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
