Walter E. Davis, 81, of New Philadelphia,  passed away on April 25, 2024. 


He was born on April 12, 1943, in Coshocton, Ohio, to his late parents, Jess and Ruth (Totsch) Davis.


Walter dedicated 30 years of his life to Miracle Adhesive before eventually retiring. His strong work ethic and commitment were evident to all who had the pleasure of working alongside him. He was a member of the New Philadelphia Elks and the Army Navy.


Outside of his professional life, Walter had a deep passion for the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found solace and happiness in nature. 


He leaves behind his children; Robin Furbay (Bob Hensley) of New Philadelphia, and James (Lisa) Davis of North Carolina; his long-time companion, Carol Tice; Carol’s daughter’s, Brenda Brady of New Philadelphia, Donna (Jeff) Watkins of Dover; his beloved grandchildren, Brandon Furbay, Adam Davis, and Allie Davis, Jamie (Jessica) Brady, Breanna (Josh) Watkins, Shania Watkins (Caleb), his great-grandchildren, Easton McGraw, Peyton Wilson, Carter and Cannon Patterson, George Watkins, and Eliza Wilson; his brothers, James Davis of Florida, and Ronald (Cindy) Davis of Etna, Ohio; along with one niece and three nephews.  


In honoring Walter's wishes, cremation has been entrusted with the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  To sign an online guestbook for Walter, visit the obituary link on the funeral home's website.
