Walter G. Duvall

Walter G. Duvall, 67, of New Philadelphia died Sunday, January 22, 2012 in the Amberwood Manor following and extended illness.

Born June 25, 1944 in Dover he was a son of the late Walter and Estel Newland Duvall.

Walter was employed at Marlite in Dover for over 30 years until illness forced his retirement.

He was a 1963 graduate of Dover High School and proud Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. Walter loved working out and jogging, and would normally wake up at 3 am to start his routine before going to work. He also attended Dover Church of Christ.

Walter is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Smart Duvall; sons, Randy (Deena) Duvall of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Jeff (Kelly) Duvall of Dover; brothers, Ronald (Jackie) Duvall of Dover and Richard (Cindy) Duvall of New Philadelphia; sister, Marlene (Carl) Gott of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Brandon, April, Gabe and Tristan Duvall; nieces Jenny Duvall and Ashley Dawson; nephews, Danny and Brian Duvall and Keith Marsh.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Jim Dougan officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens where the Dover VFW will conduct military graveside services. Following the burial a luncheon will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
