Warner "Dean" Leland

Warner “Dean” Leland, 89, of Dover went home to be our Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Schoenbrunn HealthCare Center in New Philadelphia under the care of Community Hospice.

Dean was born on August 28, 1933, in Hohenwald, Tennessee to the late Warner and Helen (Grinder) Anderson. She moved to Dover, Ohio with her husband, Willie, and two children in 1955.

Dean worked at Union Hospital for 11 years as a nurse's aide, but her life was devoted to her husband and raising her daughters.

Together they enjoyed attending car shows with their 1966 Chevy Impala and their 1965 Buick Skylark. Dean enjoyed collecting Precious Moments and clocks. She was a member of the Dover Church of Christ.

She leaves behind her husband of 71 years, Willie P. Leland. They would have celebrated their 72nd anniversary in February. She will also be missed by four daughters; Deborah (Karl) Konigsberger, Connie Leland, Brenda (Mike) Fritz, and Shelly (Troy) Mulvaine; eight grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Dean was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia.

Calling hours will be held at the Dover Church of Christ, 230 E. 4th Street on Thursday, January 5, 2022, from 10:30-11:30 am. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am with Pastor Randy Chapman officiating. The interment will take place at Dover Burial Park.
