Warren H. Rees, 77 of New Philadelphia, passed away Sunday, August 12th at Morning View Care Center.
Born August 18, 1923, in Dover, he was the son of the late John & Myrtle Spotz Rees.
He retired from Joy Manufacturing in 1986 where he was a machinist for 32 years.
He was a member of United Steelworkers of America #2748, a life member of the Tuscarawas VFW, a member of the First United Methodist Church, and was a World War II Army veteran. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He also enjoyed pleasure boating on the Ohio River and spending his summers at his son's cottage in Canada.
Warren was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Evelyn Fishel, with whom he celebrated 41 years of marriage, and a brother, Tom.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 16, at 10:30 am in Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park where the Tuscarawas VFW will conduct military graveside rites. A reception will be held at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center following services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8pm.
