Wayne W. Snyder Sr.

Wayne W. Snyder Sr., age 79, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 16, 2019, in Community Hospice’s Truman House.

Born March 17, 1940, in Dalton, he was a son of the late William M. and Vera Espenschied Snyder. Wayne attended school in Dalton and served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his discharge, Wayne owned a service station on New Philadelphia’s south side, as well as an automobile body shop and parts store.

Survivors include his fiancee, Lucinda S. “Cindy” Septer of New Philadelphia; his children, Robin (Donald) Kauffman of Orrville, Tonja (Gary) Sims of Uhrichsville, and Wayne W. (Lori Frederick) Snyder Jr. of Seville; his nine grandchildren; his ten great-grandchildren; his siblings, Steven Snyder and Donna Parr; his nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Dave (Laurie) Civiello.

Honoring Wayne’s wishes, there will be no visitation; he will be cremated and his cremated remains buried privately in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens, Dover.
