Wendy A. Immel

Wendy A. Immel, 42, of Dover died Friday, April 14, 2000 at Aultman Hospital following a stroke.

Born July 24, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio she was a daughter of Dr. James J. Houglan and Norene Deserio Houglan both of New Philadelphia.

She was a 1975 graduate of Dover High School and attended Otterbein College and Kent State Tuscarawas Campus. She was certified as a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist and was employed at her fathers office for 16 years.

She was a member of First United Methodist in Dover where she sang in the choir and was active in many church activities. She enjoyed bowling, gardening and attending her sons golf matches. She also sang for many years with the Sweet Adeline's and along with her husband was a member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association.

In addition to her parents, Wendy is survived by her husband Bruce E. Immel with whom she would have celebrated 22 years of marriage on May 6, 2000.

She is also survived by a son: Erik Immel of the home.

Seven nieces and nephews: Ali, Jackie, Michael and Andy Cornell
Miranda, Mackenzie and Tanner Immel

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2000 at 7:00 pm in the First United Methodist Church in Dover with Rev. James Scott officiating. There are no calling hours. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover is handling arrangements.
