Wendy L. Flohr

Wendy L. Flohr, age 58, of New Philadelphia, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024, in New Philadelphia’s Schoenbrunn Healthcare following a long illness..

Born October 14, 1965, at  Eglin Air Force Base Hospital in Florida, she was a daughter of the late Robert K. Flohr and the late Leslie (Wade) Flohr Felker. Wendy moved with her family to Ohio at a young age and graduated from Dover High School in 1983. She was employed for years by the Sterilite Corporation in Massillon.

Foremost, Wendy loved her family and time spent with them. She enjoyed sports, and liked watching her nephews play football for Dover, as well as following the Cincinnati Bengals. When time allowed, Wendy also enjoyed family vacations in Florida.

She will be dearly missed by her son, Matthew (Stacey Carmany) Emery of New Philadelphia; her siblings, Kimberly (Jeff) Smith of Dover, Gregory (Sharon – with whom Wendy was very close) Felker of New Philadelphia, and Vivian Flohr of Columbus; her niece and nephews, Miriah Prunty, Shay and Troy (Tess) Smith.

Honoring Wendy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or ceremony. Cremation is in the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover.

The family would like to thank all of the staff at Schoenbrunn Healthcare for their love, patience and excellent care throughout Wendy's stay. The family would also like to acknowledge Traditions Hospice for helping to make Wendy's last months peaceful.
