Wilbur J. "Bill" Osborne, 71, of Dover died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at his home.
Bill had retried from Kent State University Tuscarawas Campus where he had been the Assistant Dean. During his 37 years of education, he taught at the main campus in Kent, as well as, the Stark and Tuscarawas campuses.
Born July 17, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan he was a son of the late Wilbur S. and Ruth O'Neil Osborne. Bill was also preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Crane.
He was a member of the Tusco Rifle Club, past Chairman of the Civil War Roundtable and because of his love for his rose garden; he was also a member of the Stark Rose Society.
Bill is survived by his wife, Deb Tincher Osborne whom he married on November 26, 1977; sons, Mark (wife, Dana) Osborne of Copley and Matt (wife, Tracey) Osborne of Aspen, Colorado; daughter, Erin (husband, Philip) Osborne Martin of Scotland; grandchildren, Kristin, Grant, Nathan and Tessa.
Cremation will be handled through the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover. A celebration of Bills life will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover with Pastor Keith Hejnal officiating.
