William A. Page, Jr.

William A. “Bump” Page, Jr., 51, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, in his home.

Born Jan. 5, 1953, he was the son of the late William A. and Dora Ross Page. Bump was a 1972 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. He was a long-time employee of the Evans Brick Co. of Midvale, and its successor, Whitacre-Greer. More recently, Bump was employed by U.S. Chemical Co., Gnadenhutten.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Eagles Aerie, both of Uhrichsville. Bump enjoyed hunting and fishing; he made his own fishing lures, for which he was well-known. He liked sports, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca (Jim) Stringer of Uhrichsville; a son, William (Mandy) Page of Dennison; three grandchildren, Ravynn Stringer, William Page, Jr. and Sheennah Page; two sisters, Debbie J. Chamberlain and Kristy (William) Kohler, both of New Philadelphia; five nieces; a nephew; a great-niece; and three great-nephews.

Bump�(TM)s life will be celebrated in a service Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, 246 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia. Dr. Steven R. Bailey of the First United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia will officiate. Burial will be in East Avenue Cemetery, New Philadelphia. Following the committal, there will be a meal in the Moose Lodge, 418 N. Main St., Uhrichsville.
