William A. (Bill) Weible, 76, of Dover, Ohio died Saturday, July 8, 2000 in his home following an extended heart condition.
He retired in May, 1983, from the Advertising Department of the Times Reporter where he was formerly Retail Advertising Manager. He worked for the paper for 38 years.
Born August 18, 1923 in Dover, he was the son of the late Robert O. and Beatrice E. Morgan Weible.
Bill was a member of the First Moravian Church at Dover. He was a World War II US Navy veteran and was attached to the 3rd Marine Division where he served in the South Pacific. He was a 1941 graduate of Dover High School. He enjoyed spending early mornings outdoors where he loved walking, swimming, and was an avid bridge player.
He is survived by his wife Ann Arnold Weible with whom he would have celebrated 52 years of marriage on Nov. 27.
He is also survived by his daughter Beth (Rev. William P.) Myers of Muskegon, Michigan and his son Atty. Rob (Ruth) Weible of Lakewood, Ohio
Five grandchildren Rob and Sarah Myers and Ben, David, and Will Weible.
One Brother Robert (Marge) Weible of Honolulu, Hawaii and his sister, Sue (Dr. Robert) Ley Jr. of Dover
He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Lee Weible.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the First Moravian Church at Dover with Rev. Allen Bergmann officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery at Dover. Friends can call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Monday from 6-8 PM.
