William D. Beller

William D. "Bill" Beller, 89, of Dover passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Hennis Care Centre in Dover.

Born on July 22, 1922 in Dover, Bill was the son of the late Robert and May Christner Beller. Bill graduated from Dover High School in 1944. He served in the United States Army during World War II, where he was stationed in the South Pacific.

Bill married the love of his life, Jean Stollar, on October 3, 1959. For over forty years, Bill worked as a talented carpenter for many different carpentry companies throughout the community.

He was an active member of the First Moravian Church in Dover where he was an Elder, Trustee and enjoyed attending the Men's Fellowship Breakfasts. He was a life member of the Dover Elks. He had a passion for photography and enjoyed participating in the Wilderness Center Nature Photo Club for many years.
In addition to his wife, Jean, Bill will be missed by two nieces; Julie (Robert) Higgins of Geneva, OH, Jenny Stollar of Durango, CO; and a brother in-law, William J. Stollar of Massillon.

He is preceded in death by his sister in-law; Jan Stollar, and brother in-law; Delbert Stollar.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 11:00 am with Pastor John B. Wallace officiating. Interment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dover. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the First Moravian Church in Dover. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, August 29, 2011 from 6-8 pm and from 10-11:00 am on Tuesday.
