William E. Kibrige

William E. “Bill” Kibrige, 87, of Strasburg, died Saturday, October 15, 2005. at Massillon Community Hospital.

He was born on January 24, 1918 in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. Bill was the son of the late William E. Kibrige Sr. and Ezmonda R. Jordan.

Bill managed several movie theaters for the Shea Theatre Corporation. He oversaw the operation of theaters in Michigan, Pennsylvania, & Ohio including the State and Bexley Theatres in Dover. While he was in Pennsylvania, he was in charge of building a theatre in the Pittsburgh Airport. He was also a booking agent for the Marine Corp Band. Bill ran drive-in theatres in Michigan until he retired and several years later moved to Cambridge, Ohio.

Bill served our country in World War II where he was a U.S. Army Air Corp. veteran. Over the years, he was a member of the Dover American Legion #205, Masonic Lodge # 66 in Cambridge, Ohio, and the Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge.

Survivors include: a son, William Kibrige III of Yucca Valley, California; a Daughter, Monda (Loren) Jacobs of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Colette Couzens, Lori Jacobs, Frank Jacobs; and four great grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, the former Clara E. Frank. In addition to his wife and parents, Bill is also preceded in death by his stepbrother, Ed Early and his wife Ruth.

Friends may call on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the Toland Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A celebration of Bill�(TM)s life will be held following calling hours at 2:30 p.m.with Rev. LuAnn Youngman officiating. Interment will be at Dover Burial Park where the Dover VFW will conduct military graveside services.
