Loving husband, father, and grandfather, William Lee “Bill” Anslow, 63, a lifelong New Philadelphia resident, died suddenly Saturday, August 6, 2005, while fishing in Morgan County.
He was born February 5, 1942 at New Philadelphia, the son of the late James & Lula Belle Agin Anslow.
For 35 years, Bill was a hard working employee of Marsh Lumber. For the last year and a half, he was a valued mechanic at the A.J. Weigand Company.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Bill was extremely proud of his family and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He had recently begun attending services at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah�(TM)s Witnesses.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years, the former Patricia Conway.
Other survivors include: three sons, Denny (Pam) Anslow, Doug (Christy) Anslow, and Joey Anslow all of New Philadelphia; six precious grandchildren, Chayce, Nicole, Cayden, Chloee, Cayleb, and Ryker; siblings, Charles Anslow & his companion Sarah Watson of Newcomerstown, Carol (John) Stull of Flushing, Keith (Barb) Anslow of Roswell, and John Anslow of New Phila.; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
A funeral service celebrating Bill�(TM)s life will be held Thursday, August 11, at 11:00 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, 246 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia. Interment will be in the East Avenue Cemetery at New Phila. Friends may call in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
