William M. Purdey

William Michael Purdey, 77, of 817 1/2 E. Front St., Dover, died Tuesday, January 23, 2001, in Union Hospital.

Born June 26, 1923 in Newark, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Victor & Agnes Kordla Puha.

Following his graduation from the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ in 1953, he worked as a draftsman. He was a Torpedo Mate V, 3rd class in the Navy during World War II.

He is survived by a brother, John & Theresa Puha of New Jersey, 2 nieces and a nephew.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Anna & Margaret.

There are no calling hours. A public graveside service will be held Friday, January 26, at 11:30am in the Dover Burial Park with Rev. Joseph Glassner officiating.
