William R. “Bill” Stacks, 47, of Tippecanoe, Ohio died Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at Twin City Hospital following a brave fight with brain cancer.
He worked for Pyramid Lumber at Seeley Lake, Montana and at LJ Smith in Bowerston.
Born March 24, 1956 in Cleveland, along with his twin sister Bonny, he was a son of Betty Carson Stacks of Carrollton and the late William Stacks.
Bill as raised in Strongsville, Ohio graduating from Strongsville High School in 1974. He attended college at Utah State University, and then completed Taxidermy training in Wisconsin. Most recently he was attending classes at Kent State Tuscarawas Campus where he was on the Deans List.
On October 5, 1984 Bill married Suzy Smith Stacks and was living in Condon, Montana where they spent 15 years enjoying the pristine environment so many of us take for granted. He was an avid Browns and Indians fan and also followed the Montana University Grizzlies football team. Bill loved bird hunting with his dog Nellie, as well as any other activity that involved “the guys”.
He is survived by a daughter: Sara Stacks of Tippecanoe

Two brothers: Brian (Mary) Stacks of St. Louis, Missouri
Barry Stacks of Columbus
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Joy Stacks.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2004 at 12:00 pm in the Toland Herzig Funeral Home at New Philadelphia with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Following the service a reception will be held at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
