William Rountree "Bill" Morgan

William Rountree "Bill" Morgan, 83, of Dover passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia.

Born at home on February 24, 1933 in Stockton, Missouri, he was the son of the late Lewis and Cleetis (Younger) Morgan. He was also preceded in death by his daughter in-law; Leigh Anne Stoner; sister and brother-law, Marilyn & Calvin Montgomery; and brother and sister in-law, Bob and Helen Morgan.

He graduated from Stockton High School in 1951. He later graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor's Degree in both Agricultural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. On January 28, 1956 he married the love of his life, Jane Wilson, who survives.

He served our country in the United States Army Reserve Field Artillery. He was honorably discharged in 1965

Bill retired from Union Camp Corporation in 1995 where he was the engineering and maintenance supervisor.

He was a member and choir member at St. John United Church of Christ in Dover.

In addition to his wife, Jane, of 60 years, he will be sadly missed by his children; John W. Morgan of Dover, Melisa (Fred) Siegenthaler of Dover, and Dr.'s Brent and Jennifer Morgan of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Amber (Jason), Carrie, Matthew, Michael, Travis, Broc, Wilson, Coleman, Mitchell, and Reilly; three great grandchildren, Emily Colson, and Blake; two nephews, Alan and Greg Morgan; along with his cousins William (Nedra) Fox of Stockton.

In honoring Bill's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover. A memorial visitation will take place at the Dover Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 6-8pm. A service will be held at 8:00pm with Rev. Thomas Dunkle officiating.
