William W. Lang

William W. "Bill" Lang, age 75, of Beach City, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, in Affinity Medical Center, Massillon, where he was taken after becoming ill at home.

Born Jun. 30, 1937, in Stone Creek, he was a son of the late Clifford C. and Bertha H. Zedi Lang. Bill graduated from Strasburg High School, and married the former Helen L. McNutt. He was employed for many years by the Greer Steel Co., Dover, and retired from S.P.I. in Strasburg. Bill enjoyed working word puzzles in his spare time to keep his mind sharp.

Survivors include his fiance, May Belle Smith and his brother, Jerry Lang, both of Beach City; and his son-in-law, Steve Gilmore, of Strasburg.

Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, in 1992; his daughter, Jennifer Gilmore; and an infant sister.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, 803 N. Wooster Ave., Dover, on Saturday, 12:30 1:30 p.m. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Brock Barnhouse of the Barrs Mill Church of God in Sugarcreek, will follow at 1:30.
