William "Kip" Whitman

William “Kip” Whitman, 65, passed away suddenly on March 31, 2025.

Born on July 7, 1959, he was the son of the late Charles William and Joyce (Weber) Whitman. He graduated from Strasburg High School in 1977. Shortly after graduation, he joined the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany.

Kip worked as a Diesel Mechanic for many years. He loved automobiles, especially classic cars. He was a talented handyman who could fix just about anything.

He leaves behind his two sons; William “Billy” (Audriana) Whitman of Tuscarawas, and James “Jimmy” Whitman of New Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Rayanna Miller, Logan Whitman, Cole Whitman, and Ethan Whitman; along with his siblings, Doug (Tammie) Whitman, Teresa (Jeff) Weber, Maurica Sokol, and Eric Whitman.
