Winona Pearl Gilbertson

Winona Pearl Gilbertson, 102, of Dover and formerly St. Louis, MO, died Monday, November 14, 2011 at Park Village Care Center.

She was born March 25, 1909, the daughter of the late Charles and Katie Brassfield Barton.

Winona was a member of the First Christian Church at Dover where she looked forward to her Bible Study class. She also enjoyed playing Bridge.

Two husbands, Glenn Pearl and Roy Gilbertson, preceded Winona in death.

Surviving family members include: a daughter, Laura Eames-Luyster of Dover; son, Rex L. (Barbara) Pearl of St. Louis, MO; seven grandchildren, Mark (Barb) Eames, Keith (Char) Eames, Lori (Dave) Schwartz, Bart Eames, Debbie (Fred) Clarke, Sheri (Barry) Schmidt and Rex (Janet) Pearl, Jr.; along with a number of great and great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husbands, two sisters, Gladys Gilbertson and Laverne Weir, and two sons-in-law, Joe Eames and Ray Luyster, preceded her in death.

Friends may call Thursday, November 17 from 4-6 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. Funeral services will be held in Missouri on Saturday.
