Woodrow E. "Woody" Burrier

Woodrow E. “Woody” or “Butch” Burrier, age 61, of Tuscarawas, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 9, 2017, in his home.

Born March 13, 1956, in Dover, he was a son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Grace Eleanora Brown Burrier. Woody graduated from Dover High School and was employed by New Philadelphia’s Lauren Manufacturing for nearly 40 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors – motorcycling, camping, boating, canoeing and fishing. Woody was also a sports fan.
He was a social member of the Tuscarawas post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his daughter, Michelle (fiancé, Mike Bateman) Blunt of New Philadelphia; his five grandchildren, Jake Risley, Deanna Blunt, Samantha Risley, Dakota Blunt and Katelin Pennington; his brother, Michael (fiancée, Tonya Wallace) Burrier of Uhrichsville; his sister, Dawn Bowersock of Dover; and his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Woody was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonya Risley Fisher.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Friday, October 13, 4 – 7 p.m. There will be no funeral ceremony; Woody will be cremated.
