Wyema Pulley Smart

Wyema Pulley Smart, 87, of New Philadelphia passed away at her home on Saturday, September 8, 2018.

Born September 29, 1930 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Freeman Walton. Wyema was also preceded in death by her first husband, CG Pulley in 1993; daughter, Cathy Pulley; son, Gary Pulley; granddaughters, Angela Pulley, Becky Dayton, Missy Pulley; son in law, Thomas Dayton and five brothers, Paul, Art, Herb, Robert and David Walton.

Wyema was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship, and in her spare time she enjoyed traveling, shopping and getting her hair done. Family was the center of her life; she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Having Sunday dinners was the highlight of her week.

Wyema is survived by her husband, Oscar Smart, whom she married on August 16, 2008; children, Eddie (Rebecca) Pulley of Newcomerstown, Shari Dayton of Strasburg, Candy St. Peter and her fiancé, Tellis Horne of New Philadelphia; brothers, Earl (Norene) Walton of Medina, Charles (Silvia) Walton of Lancaster; stepchildren, Clyde (Sandy)Wright of Newcomerstown, Tom (Jean) Smart of Wyoming, Irene Kyle, Walter (Alice) Smart, Susan Burton, Sally (James) Franklin all of New Philadelphia; seven grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and many step grand and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 11 at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park.
