Yvonne May Powell

Yvonne Mae Ley Powell, 94, of Zoarville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at her home.

Born June 26, 1912 in Canton, Ohio, Yvonne was the daughter of John and Nettie Ley. She was next to the youngest of 11 siblings.

Yvonne was a lifetime resident of the area. She worked at Timken Company in Zoarville. She loved watching birds and being around her family.

Her first husband, Aidrian Brown, who died in 1932 as well as her second husband, Clarence V. Powell, who died in 1988, preceded her in death. Her son Clarence J. Powell and a great-granddaughter Kristy and nine of her brothers and sisters also preceded Yvonne.

She is survived by a daughter; Elva M. Tomblin of Zoarville, a daughter in law; Shirley Powell of Mineral City; grandchildren; Jeanna (John) Edie, William V. (Claudette) Tomblin, Jami (Josh) Tomblin, Susan (Mark) Marsh, Daniel (Karen) Powell, Michael Powell, and a younger sister; Kate Martin. Also surviving is 10 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren along with many very close friends and relatives. She was also expecting another great grandchild.

A funeral service celebrating Yvonne�(TM)s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 13, 2006 at Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover with Pastor Richard Harvey officiating. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville, Ohio. Following the service of committal, friends and family are invited back to the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center for a meal and time of fellowship. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
