Zan R. Harmon

Zan R. Harmon, 66, of Euclid, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023. He was born on September 11, 1956, in Dover. Zan was known for his dedicated career as a Mortgage Underwriter at Chase Bank in Cleveland, where he served diligently until his retirement in 2016.

Zan's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family. He found immense joy and fulfillment in spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. Zan's warm and caring nature made him a pillar of support and love for all those fortunate enough to have him in their lives. Outside of work and family, Zan possessed a passion for golf.

Zan Harmon will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Hostetler Harmon, whom he married on December 13, 1986. Zan leaves behind a beautiful legacy through his children: Chris (Kimberly) Harmon of Oregon, Amanda (Justin) Atherton of Texas, Alex Harmon of Euclid, and Abbey (Tim) Platko of Wickliffe.

He is also survived by his cherished siblings: Arn (Jayne) Harmon of Columbus, Dan (Kay) Harmon of Sugarcreek, Van (Sheila) Harmon of Dover, and Beth Bleininger of Dover. Zan's parents, Russell and Vivian Arnold Harmon preceded him in death.

One of Zan's greatest joys were his grandchildren. He leaves behind seven adored grandchildren, Mia Lynn, Braydon Christopher, Brody Alexander, Kinslee Mae, Tatum Blayze, Makenna Hope, Noelle Grace; with his 8th one, William Zander, on the way. Their names will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved Zan.

Zan's family will be hosting visitation on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover. Following the visitation, a Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM with Rev. Richard Rose officiating.
