Zona M. Bleininger

Zona M. Bleininger, 73, of Dundee died Friday, May 1, 2009 at Aultman Hospital.

Zona had been employed at Dynamic Drug in Dover and also Dunini Drug in New Philadelphia. In addition, she was also a well-known Avon representative for over 25 years.

Born April 28, 1936 in Sugarcreek she was a daughter of the late Frank and Loretta Brewer Adkins. Her six brothers, Wayne, Milas, Doyle, Thomas, Jerry and Barker Adkins and two sisters, Blanche Cannon and Elsie Ruegsegger, also preceded her in death.

Zona was a member of the Dundee United Methodist Church and its Ladies Aid Society. In her spare time she enjoyed collecting angels.

A wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Zona will be sadly missed by her husband of 56 years, Wayne G. Bleininger whom she married on June 23, 1952; daughters, Marilyn (Ervin) Sergent of New Philadelphia and Elaine (Terry) Spidell of Strasburg; son Frank Bleininger of Strasburg; sisters, Kathryn Heck of Dover and Mary (Dan) Wengerd of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Connie Garmany, Jeremy and Ryan Bleininger, Kortney Spidell and Shawn Jackson and several great grandchildren.

A celebration of Zona's life will be held on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 2:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Ray Garvin officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends can call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 pm.
